Editorial Policy

How we write our guides and show our prices, how we keep them up to date, and how to tell us about a mistake.

Prices on this website

  • The "up to" prices on our sell pages come from Changekro's own live price list: the same list your quote is worked out from. We don't copy prices from other websites.
  • "Up to" is the most we pay for that model and version in perfect condition. Your exact price comes from your answers to the condition questions and is checked at your door.
  • Sell pages say which day a price applies to ("as of …"). They are rebuilt from the price list about every hour, and straight away when our team changes a price.
  • A quote stays valid for 48 hours. After that, today's price applies.
  • Prices in our refurbished store are set by Changekro for each device and shown on its page.
  • Our guides don't quote Changekro prices, because prices change. They link to the model's price page instead.

    • How our guides are written

  • Guides are written to help people sell, buy or check a used device safely. They are published by Changekro, which buys and sells used devices, so where a guide mentions a service, it is our own.
  • Some drafts are prepared with the help of software, including AI writing tools. Nothing is published until a person in the Changekro team has read and approved it.
  • Facts about devices, settings, launches or laws must come from published sources. Where we aren't sure, or where steps differ between brands and software versions, we leave it out or say "usually".
  • We never invent reviews, customer stories, ratings, awards or sales numbers, and we don't claim to pay more than a named competitor.
  • Customer reviews shown on this website are from real customers who agreed to have them published. Our team approves or hides them; we never change their words.

    • Dates and updates

  • Every guide shows the date it was last updated. When we change what a guide says, we change that date.
  • Our policy pages show a "Last updated" date in the same way.

    • Corrections

  • Spotted a mistake or something out of date? Tell us by phone on +91 9992225412, on WhatsApp, or by email at hello@changekro.in. Please include the page address.
  • We check every report. When something is wrong, we fix it and update the page's date.
